Every year, our elf decorates our car with tinsel and other decorations and turns it into the Christmas Express. We then drive around our village admiring all the Christmas Lights. Every year, I think to myself I really should write a Scavenger Hunt to go along with this activity and yet Christmas comes round each year and I find myself sitting in the car admiring the lights again. So this year, I have put pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard, and written a Christmas Lights Scavenger Hunt.
There are a whole range of different Christmas items and characters to spot. Some will be easy and you’ll find them on lots of houses and some may be a little bit trickier. You don’t have to find everything on the list instead you could challenge your family to see how many you can tick off. If you want to make it trickier for older children, you could limit the amount of ticks you can have for each house to ensure you don’t tick off everything on the list from one house.
It doesn’t really matter how you complete the hunt as long as you have fun. You might just find that it encourages your children to look a little bit more carefully at the different lights on the houses!
