Meet The Jolly Jangles

jolly

Let the Jolly Jangles take your little one on an exciting adventure as they start their journey of education, imagination and rhyme. As we meet each Jolly Jangle we’re introduced to their special abilities and individual magic powers that will delight and enchant the young readers. This book is the first in the series to introduce children to each member of the Jolly Jangle family. Who will be your favourite?

Mummy’s Review

Since time began, children have imagined what happens when they aren’t watching their toys and perhaps they magically come to life!  When I was a child, I absolutely loved Jane Hissey’s Old Bear stories.  I loved the idea that the soft toys were coming to life and having exciting adventures together.

Now, Marilyn Cook is bringing a new group of soft toys to life for a new generation of young readers in her book – Meet The Jolly Jangles and we were absolutely delighted to be gifted a copy to share with you.

The fantastic thing about Meet the Jolly Jangles is that every part of the story has been created by Marilyn Cook.  Not only has she written and illustrated the story, but each teddy has been crocheted by Marilyn too!  She has created 12 truly unique characters, each one with a different look and personality. Each bear also has their own magical power.  In this book, we are introduced to each of the bears.

This is a really wonderful book for young children as it has beautiful big pictures accompanied by a font which looks friendly and easy to read.  It’s also a rhyming book meaning it is really lovely to share and before long your child will be joining in and finishing off the sentences and completing the rhymes.
I cannot wait to read Marilyn’s next book and find out what the Jolly Jangles get up to on their adventures.

Rory’s Review

Do you wonder what your toys do when you aren’t there?
Welcome to the World of Jolly Jangles.
These twelve wonderful teddies each have a magical power.  My favourite is Sunset because she likes books especially funny ones.  This book introduces the teddies and I’m sure the author will write about the adventures they will have.  Its fun to read because it rhymes.  I like this book because it reveals each bear’s true personality.  The best bit is that one teddy is really naughty and makes them all laugh.  I really recommend this delightful book to everyone.
I would give this book 10/10.
